ABOUT ME

Amelia Hemphill is a presenter, podcast host and self-shooting filmmaker for the BBC and Fast Company. She makes long and short form documentaries about tech, innovation, global health and people fixing the world, as one of BBC's 'solutions journalists.' Amelia has worked for a number of award winning teams across the BBC & World Service, including #100Women, with her work being regularly featured on TV, digital, radio and social media platforms.
Prior to joining the BBC, Amelia worked for Bloomberg TV in New York and was the tech and innovation correspondent for TheStreet.com. She covered the start-up scene in New York's 'Silicon Alley' and frequently reported from the New York Stock Exchange. She has worked with multiple news and media organisations including: CNN, DW News, The Atlantic, Mail +, Newsweek, USA TODAY, Ventures Africa and The Huffington Post.
Amelia is a graduate of Oxford University and Columbia Journalism School. She was short listed as one of Edinburgh International Television Festival's 'Ones to Watch' 2018 and has won multiple #GreenFilm Awards for her coverage of environment + climate change innovation.
